Job summary

UBS is seeking a Non-Financial Risk Specialist to join the Group CORC GHRCS team. You will act as CORC for HR, provide independent oversight, challenge the 1st line of defense, and help embed the Non-Financial Risk Framework across the HR processes.

The role involves building relationships with HR and stakeholders, conducting thematic reviews, and ensuring risk data quality and governance in line with UBS standards. Fluent English and extensive risk management experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Ideally 10+ years’ experience of risk management and control frameworks; relevant hands-on experience or previous experience in HR would be advantageous.
• Analytic, result-oriented and resilient (you don’t shy away from challenging situations)
• Skilled communicator who listens, adapts style to audience and conveys clear, accurate and concise information and expectations. Proficient in communicating complex issues
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance or a related field is preferable
• Fluent in English
• Curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.

• ensure risk metrics, assessments and reporting are built on correct data and in line with relevant taxonomies and the expectation of UBS Group
• provide business management with controls, tools, training, frameworks, information and insights required to manage risk

The team

You’ll be working in the Group CORC GHRCS team with colleagues across UBS locations globally. We support GHRCS by partnering with them to effectively manage regulatory risk in an environment of collaboration and constructive challenge.

Our duties include implementing the Non-Financial Risk Framework and ensuring regulatory and operational risks are identified, properly assessed and recorded. As a risk control specialist, you’ll lead second line of defense activities and partner with the business to manage regulatory and associated risks, playing a vital role in seeing that the necessary risk frameworks are appropriately embedded across our firm.
