Job summary

Dotlinkers IT recruitment is assisting an Israeli sports-tech client in Kraków to hire an HR Business Partner to establish the local HR setup and oversee the employee lifecycle. You will ensure Polish employment compliance and align local HR with global practices from headquarters in Israel.

The role is initially remote; once the Kraków office is ready, it becomes hybrid with four days per week onsite, influencing culture and people processes as the team grows.

About our client

Our client is an Israeli sports-tech company combining advanced data engineering, AI/ML and mathematical modelling to build high-performance real-time sports analytics solutions. The company works with large volumes of real-time data across sports including football, basketball, baseball and American football, transforming it into predictions and actionable insights. Its technology is designed for sports organizations, leagues, broadcasters and other data-driven businesses. The company is now establishing a new R&D site in Kraków and is looking for key people who will help build the local organization from the ground up.

The Role

As an HR Business Partner, you will take ownership of the HR setup and development of our client's new Polish site. You will establish local HR processes, ensure compliance with Polish employment regulations and support the full employee lifecycle as the organization grows. You will act as the key HR partner for managers and employees in Poland while connecting the local team with global HR practices and initiatives led by the company's headquarters in Israel. This is a highly hands-on role combining strategic HR responsibilities with day-to-day execution, with significant influence on the culture and employee experience of the new site.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end HR setup of the new Polish site from scratch.
• Establish and maintain compliant local HR processes, employment practices and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Polish labor law and other relevant employment regulations.
• Own the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, employee relations and retention.
• Partner with the Recruitment team on hiring strategy and workforce planning for the growing Polish organization.
• Act as a trusted HR advisor and partner for managers and employees on the Polish site.
• Drive employee experience, well-being and company culture locally.
• Oversee the Office Assistant and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the site.
• Translate and implement global HR initiatives from the company's headquarters in Israel into the Polish organization.
• Support organizational development as the Kraków team grows.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably within a high-tech, technology or startup environment.
• Strong knowledge of Polish labor law and employment regulations.
• Experience working closely with managers and senior stakeholders on HR-related matters.
• Strong coaching, mentoring and stakeholder management skills.
• High level of ownership and a proactive, hands-on approach.
• Ability to work independently as the primary HR representative on-site while balancing strategic and operational responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full professional proficiency in Polish and English.
• Experience setting up a new office, site or local HR function from scratch would be a significant advantage.
