Job summary

IS-Wireless seeks a senior technical leader to take end-to-end ownership of corporate IT and cybersecurity in a hybrid role based in Piaseczno near Warsaw. You will define target architecture, set priorities and build a risk-based roadmap spanning infrastructure, networks, IAM and security operations.

You will decide what to build internally and how IT and security support growth, working with management, engineers and auditors. This is a hands-on, strategic leadership position.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT infrastructure, networking or cybersecurity.
• Owns architecture, priorities and technical decisions.
• English proficiency for written and spoken communication.

IS-Wireless is looking for a senior technical leader to take end-to-end ownership of corporate IT and cybersecurity.

This is not a helpdesk management position and it is not a policy-only security role. You will define the target architecture, set priorities and build a risk-based roadmap covering infrastructure, networks, identity, employee technology, IT operations and company-wide cybersecurity.

You will decide what should be built internally, where external expertise is needed and how IT and security should support the company's continued growth.

You will join a technically advanced environment and work with IT specialists, engineering teams, management, suppliers, consultants and auditors. The role combines strategic influence with hands‑on technical decision-making.

Your role

• Define and drive the corporate IT and cybersecurity strategy, target architecture and 6–12 month roadmap.
• Strengthen networks, internal infrastructure, segmentation, identity and access, endpoints and remote access.
• Establish reliable IT operations: onboarding and offboarding, provisioning, patching, monitoring, backup, recovery, inventory and change management.
• Build practical security processes covering vulnerability management, monitoring, incident response, access governance and business continuity.
• Coordinate internal specialists and external providers, audits, risk assessments and penetration tests.
• Establish measurable IT and security KPIs and communicate material risks and progress to management.

What we need

• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, enterprise networking, cybersecurity or a closely related field.
• Significant ownership of architecture, priorities, technical decisions or operational outcomes.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of Linux, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, network segmentation, remote access, virtualisation and internal infrastructure services.
• Practical experience with IAM, least privilege, privileged access, employee lifecycle controls and access reviews.
• Experience implementing security controls and processes such as vulnerability management, monitoring, incident response, backup or disaster recovery.
• Very good written and spoken English and the ability to communicate technical risks and priorities to management.

Strong advantages

• Experience with ISO 27001, NIS2, NIST or a comparable security framework.
• Knowledge of cloud, Kubernetes, container security or secure software development.
• Experience in telecommunications, deep-tech, critical infrastructure, public safety or defence-related environments.
