Job summary

Tylko, founded in Warsaw, is seeking a Head of Ecommerce Engineering to lead the tech behind the digital shopping experience, including product configurator and ecommerce platform. You will shape the engineering direction to transform ambitious goals into scalable solutions.

You will empower teams to deliver exceptional UX through discovery and rapid iteration, bridging vision and reliable performance to sustain competitive advantage in customisable furniture.

About the Role

As our Head of Ecommerce Engineering, you will shape the technology behind Tylko’s digital experience - from our award-winning product configurator to personalized shopping journeys and the core of our ecommerce platform. You will define the engineering direction that transforms ambitious business goals into scalable, reliable solutions.

Your mission is to empower engineering teams to deliver an exceptional user experience by fostering a culture of continuous discovery and rapid iteration. In this role, you will bridge the gap between innovative vision and reliable platform performance, directly influencing our competitive edge and the future of customisable furniture.

What You’ll Do

You’ll take ownership, make things happen, and see your impact. Specifically, you will:

• Design and evolve the Ecommerce Engineering organization, creating team structures that optimize value delivery, autonomy, and collaboration across functions
• Define and implement data-informed engineering strategies, enabling teams to make better decisions and measure meaningful outcomes
• Build a culture of discovery, experimentation, and continuous improvement, helping teams validate ideas and deliver customer-focused solutions
• Develop engineering talent through coaching, mentoring, and thoughtful career growth, building autonomous teams of strong problem solvers
• Set clear engineering objectives aligned with product goals, balancing ambitious goals with team ownership and accountability

What we’re looking for:

• Extensive experience in building and scaling technology solutions in e-commerce environments
• Strong understanding of customer-centric product development and system thinking
• Deep understanding of software architecture and engineering principles
• Significant experience in building & transforming high-performing engineering teams
• Strong track record of setting, monitoring, and acting on both technical and business KPIs
• Proven capability in technical vision and strategy development
• Demonstrated success in implementing AI based SDLC
• Fluent Polish and good command of English
