Job summary

Fresha, Warsaw-based, is seeking a hands-on Team Lead (Engineering) to own technical direction and delivery for a small, ship-focused team. You will work with Product Managers and Staff Engineers, staying hands-on while guiding a 2–5 person group on end-to-end services and on-call responsibilities.

Lead by example, drive reliable estimates, and evolve the team toward full-stack capabilities, leveraging AI tools and a modern stack across Ruby, Elixir, TypeScript, Swift and Kotlin.

Qualifications

• Hands-on technical role requiring coding, design discussions and code reviews.
• Led a team formally or as a senior engineer with peers following.
• Delivery track record with reliable shipping and plan adherence.
• Strong system design and architecture experience across multiple languages.
• Ability to spot and fix process impediments and speed up delivery.
• Proactive ownership and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and provide technical guidance based on system design and coding experience.
• Make trade-offs with the full system in mind.
• Write code, fix bugs and work through issues with your team.
• Maintain healthy services with testing, monitoring and debt management.
• Explain architecture and scaling limits to stakeholders.
• Take on cross-team work to add value beyond your own service.
