Job summary

GMV is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the development of Ground Segment solutions in a space-focused program. You will shape architecture and guide multidisciplinary teams across software engineering, mission operations, flight dynamics, cloud, cybersecurity, AI, and data processing. You will own the technical vision and drive delivery to meet customer expectations and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Background in complex software-intensive systems.
• Systems engineering skills (MBSE, SysML).
• Experience defining interfaces and specifications.
• Experience coordinating multiple technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the overall technical vision of the Ground Segment, ensuring consistency across all system elements throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead the system architecture, coordinate technical activities across engineering disciplines, manage technical risks and trade-offs, and ensure delivered solutions meet customer requirements and standards
• Act as the technical authority for the project, working with the Project Manager, customers, partners and teams to drive innovation while ensuring technical excellence and successful delivery.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

In our team you will lead the technical development of Ground Segment solutions. This is a unique opportunity to shape the architecture and evolution of state‑of‑the‑art Ground Segment systems, working with multidisciplinary teams across software engineering, mission operations, flight dynamics, communications, cloud infrastructures, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and data processing. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Define and maintain the overall technical vision of the Ground Segment, ensuring consistency across all system elements throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead the system architecture, coordinate technical activities across engineering disciplines, manage technical risks and trade-offs, and ensure that the delivered solution meets customer requirements, performance objectives, and applicable industry standards
• Act as the technical authority for the project, you will work closely with the Project Manager, customers, partners and engineering teams to drive innovation while ensuring technical excellence and successful project delivery.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for Technical Managers with:

• Background in complex software-intensive systems
• Systems engineering skills (e.g. MBSE, SysML...)
• Experience defining interfaces and specifications
• Experience with coordination of multiple technical teams
• Master degree in an Engineering discipline

We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in satellite ground segments or in any of their functional blocks, experience with Capella/Enterprise Architecture and experience with DOORS.
