Job summary

Qualifications

Are you looking for an innovative and consolidated place for your professional development? GMV is an experienced technology group and our colleagues from the GNC department (FSR-GNC) are looking for a GNC engineer for projects carried out for the European Space Agency (ESA).

What challenge will you be taking on?

The selected candidate will be integrated into a team developing GNC system components for ambitious missions for ESA and commercial clients. The role covers both early‑stage analysis and detailed design of GNC systems dedicated to rockets or satellite missions.

What do we need in our team?

The scope of work to be carried out within the team includes tasks ranging from requirements definition and specification, through software development, to testing of GNC systems for various rocket or satellite use cases. Particular emphasis is placed on verification of the development process and validation of algorithms and software. This also includes the configuration of supporting tools, test benches, and processes throughout the GNC system lifecycle.

Required knowledge/experience

• MSc (or equivalent) in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics, Automation and Robotics, or a related field
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written
• Knowledge of control theory, estimation methods, and guidance algorithms
• Familiarity with sensors and actuators used in rocket or satellite control systems
• Experience with modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink)
• Understanding of system engineering processes, including requirements definition and verification
• Experience in software development for embedded or real‑time systems is an advantage

Valuable knowledge/experience

• Experience in the design and development of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary engineering team
