Job summary

Travelplanet.pl is seeking a skilled Go backend developer to design and develop high-performance microservices powering our travel platform ecosystem across European markets. You will work with product owners, designers, and other developers to deliver scalable features and ensure system reliability.

The role emphasizes cloud-native architectures, handling large data volumes and maintaining HA for high-traffic services.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Go (Golang) and building microservices-based systems.
• Ability to thrive in an environment with dynamic priorities and focus on outcomes.
• Hands-on knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Solr, Elasticsearch).
• Experience processing large volumes of data, including importing and transforming big XML files.
• Solid understanding of modern infrastructure, including cloud environments, scalability, and high availability (HA).
• Experience working on high-traffic, complex products with real-world performance and reliability challenges.
• Travel market experience is a plus.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and develop - cooperate on the design and development of high-performance, scalable, and robust solutions using GoLang for our global platforms delivering solutions for customers in European markets.
• Collaborate - work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, and other developers, to define, design, and ship new features and improvements.
• Code review - conduct and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, performance, and consistency.
• Problem solving - troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Innovation - drive the adoption of best practices and new technologies to continuously improve our development process and products.
