Job summary

NFQ Group, a core technology partner for HomeToGo, is expanding its engineering team in Cracow. We seek a Senior Software Engineer to join one of our Consumer Product teams and contribute to a marketplace with millions of vacation rentals.

You will work with Symfony, MariaDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, Docker and Kubernetes, collaborating across product and architecture teams to deliver scalable, reliable features.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Experience with PHP/Symfony stack.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL).
• Excellent communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Drive implementation of initiatives to improve product quality.
• Partner with Product to influence the roadmap and ensure engineering decisions meet user needs.
• Collaborate within cross-functional teams to deliver features on time.
• Work with architects to ensure scalability, reliability and usability of Marketplace products.

Join our team as a Senior Software Engineer in Cracow, where you'll play a vital role in the success of HomeToGo. We're looking for an experienced software engineer to be a part of one of our Consumer Product teams. Our diverse and modern tech stack includes Symfony, MariaDB, ElasticSearch, Snowflake, Redis, Aerospike, RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, and more. In this role, you will

• Drive the implementation of technical initiatives to improve the quality of our product
• Partner with Product to impact the roadmap and ensure engineering decisions align with user needs
• Collaborate closely within a cross-functional team as well as other engineering teams to understand business requirements and ensure the timely delivery of features
• Work closely with architects to identify and address technical challenges, ensuring the scalability, reliability, and usability of our Marketplace products
• Take ownership of engineering decisions for larger topics and features
• Be a part of a push to improve the product delivery process

What you will bring

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development (ideally with PHP/Symfony)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive technical solutions in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding the fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Fluency in English

Salary range:

125 - 209 PLN/h + VAT (B2B)

17 500 - 29 200 PLN gross (Permanent)
