Job summary

Citi is seeking an outstanding candidate to join the Valuation Control Group as a Manager. You will supervise valuation-related activities, lead cross-functional projects, and partner with Business, Risk, Compliance and Finance teams to strengthen controls and governance.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, deep valuation knowledge, and the ability to challenge colleagues while driving change across the organization. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, economics or quantitative subject.
• 10+ years of valuation, risk or product control experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting and regulatory developments in valuation of financial instruments.
• In-depth knowledge of a broad range of financial instruments and valuation methodologies, incl. derivatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee valuation control of the business, validate market data inputs, reporting and analysis.
• Develop methodologies for valuation adjustments and price testing with strong controls design.
• Remediate regulatory issues, audit findings and reporting requirements.
• Create and manage control framework to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Act as escalation point for discrepancies and price variance breaches.
• Identify pricing issues and valuation parameters requiring attention; perform in-depth analysis.
• Lead global cross-functional projects; mentor and develop teams.
