Job summary

Citi is seeking a Finance Analyst to join the Valuation Control Group (VCG) within the Institutional Clients Group. The role focuses on independent valuation processes, reporting, and resolving valuation differences in collaboration with Front Office and Risk teams.

The position requires a Finance/Quantitative background, 1–3 years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and fluency in English (minimum B2). Competitive benefits and salary are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, or closely related quantitative discipline.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in Finance (valuations, risk, product control, or similar).
• Knowledge of financial products and valuation principles; understanding of financial statements and basic accounting concepts.
• Strong computer literacy, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent English with strong verbal and written communication at minimum B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Perform valuation control related core production: Independent Price Verification (IPV), Valuation Adjustments, Fair Value Levelling.
• Own or contribute to tasks relating to reporting, projects or analysis of results and significant matters.
• Analyze and reconcile valuation differences between front office marks and independent valuations, providing clear explanations and supporting documentation for discrepancies.
• Work with Front Office traders, Risk Management, Markets Controllers and other stakeholders to ensure a complete understanding and proper resolution of valuation issues.
• Ensure particular attention is given to the design and execution of controls.
• Assist in preparing valuation reports and presentations for senior management, internal committees, and regulatory bodies.
