Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Commissioning Technician to join our team in Poznań. You will commission machines and lines, test PLC/HMI software, and troubleshoot automation systems on client projects with a strong focus on collaboration with experienced PLC programmers.

The role requires 2+ years in commissioning, willingness to travel ~60% of the year across Europe and North America, and English at B2 level. Basic PLC skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in commissioning and maintenance of machines and industrial equipment.
• Willingness to travel about 60% of the year, including to Hungary, Germany, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Italy, USA, and Canada.
• Ability to perform functional tests of machines and verify the correctness of automated solutions.
• Knowledge of industrial automation and working with automation devices.
• Basic PLC programming skills are an additional advantage.
• English language proficiency at B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning and start-up of machines, lines, and equipment according to documentation in various sectors.
• Test machines and PLC/HMI software (functional tests, operation verification).
• Check electrical connections and IO signals (IO check).
• Parameterize automation devices (inverters, sensors, servo drives).
• Operate PLC programming environments such as TIA Portal, TwinCAT, or Studio 5000.
• Participate in the start-up of lines and industrial machines at clients and collaborate with the project team.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to commissioned automation systems.
• Participate in FAT and prepare required documentation.
