Job summary

XSYS Global is seeking a detail-oriented Trade Compliance Specialist to join our global team in a hybrid setup. You will help ensure compliance with international trade regulations, focusing on sanctions, screening, and monitoring regulatory developments impacting imports and exports.

The role blends regulatory analysis, hands-on operational work and advisory collaboration with stakeholders worldwide, with opportunities to influence processes and training across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Law, Logistics or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in trade compliance, customs, export controls or international logistics.
• Solid understanding of sanctions regulations and restricted party screening processes.
• Experience monitoring regulatory changes and assessing business impact.
• Working knowledge of HS classification and Incoterms.
• Experience with Free Trade Agreements, calculations, and external tools.
• Experience working with SAP and compliance tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a risk focus.
• Clear and confident communication in English; German a strong plus.
• IT interest is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, incl. import/export laws, sanctions, embargoes across jurisdictions.
• Perform and monitor sanctions and restricted party screenings in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Track changes in global trade and sanctions regulations and translate into practical guidance.
• Classify products using HS codes and support trade-related decision-making.
• Calculate materials for EU Free Trade Agreements.
• Support and oversee customs clearance with logistics partners.
• Maintain accurate trade compliance documentation and audit trails.
• Collaborate with logistics, legal, procurement, finance and operations to embed compliant processes.
• Provide guidance and training on trade compliance and sanctions topics.
