Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing CTA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax or indirect tax, ideally from financial services or consulting.
• Transfer pricing knowledge would be an advantage.
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Support CFO and senior stakeholders on tax-related projects and decisions.
• Help build and develop the global tax function from the ground up.
• Develop understanding of tax governance, compliance, and risk management in a growing international business.
• Support international growth initiatives, acquisitions, and commercial projects.

We are currently representing a leading global Financial Services firm in the appointment of high-calibre professionals as part of a period of strategic growth and investment.

Our client operates at the intersection of corporate, fiduciary and regulatory services, partnering with private equity houses, investment managers and international financial institutions. Backed by long-term institutional investment and an established global brand, the firm is scaling its capabilities, technology and international footprint.

Our client is creating a dedicated global tax function for the first time, and we're looking for an ambitious tax specialist who wants the opportunity to work alongside the CFO to help shape the specialism. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Tax Accountant with circa 2-3 years experience who is looking for more autonomy and an opportunity for CFO mentorship into a Global role.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the CFO and senior stakeholders, supporting tax-related projects and strategic business decisions.
• Play a key role in helping to build and develop the company's global tax function from the ground up.
• Develop a strong understanding of tax governance, compliance processes, and risk management within a growing international business.
• Support international growth initiatives, acquisitions, and commercial projects, gaining broad business exposure beyond tax compliance.
• Build relationships with external advisers and tax authorities while developing your expertise across a wide range of global tax matters.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Ideally studying towards CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax or indirect tax (both would be preferential), ideally gained within financial services, professional services or consulting.
• Strong transfer pricing expertise would be advantageous
• The confidence to operate independently and influence senior stakeholders.
• A commercial mindset and the ability to turn complex tax issues into practical business solutions.
