Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Global Supplier Development Engineer for the Transformers unit. You will drive supplier qualification, audits, parts approvals and continuous improvement to elevate supplier partnerships and performance.

This role involves global collaboration, data-driven decision making, and travel for assessments. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in quality assurance and supplier development, experience with SAP Ariba, and knowledge of ISO/IATF standards.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
8+ years in quality assurance and supplier development in metal fabrication/transformer components.
Knowledge of heat treatment and surface protection processes.
Familiarity with ISO-9001, IATF16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Responsibilities

Lead supplier qualification via SAP Ariba assessments and global on-site audits.
Implement improvement actions at suppliers based on audit findings.
Oversee global parts approval process to meet requirements.
Monitor supplier performance indicators and drive annual evaluations.
Develop action plans for supplier performance recovery and corrective actions.
