Job summary

Habasit AG is seeking a Specialist Accounting in Poland to deliver high-quality, accurate accounting services within a global Shared Services Center. You will post invoices, reconcile ledgers, prepare VAT/CIT/WHT data, and support audits while coordinating with EMEA stakeholders.

The role requires a university degree in accounting/finance, 3+ years in an accounting dept, SAP proficiency, and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• University degree in accounting/finance, or a comparable field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting department.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Fluent in Polish and English (both verbal and written).
• Able to travel up to 10% of time.

Responsibilities

• Accurately post and process purchase invoices in line with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Review and verify financial documents for accuracy, completeness, and tax compliance.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, as well as accounts payable and receivable balances.
• Process and settle employee expenses, including business trips and corporate card transactions.
• Prepare VAT records (JPK VAT) and support EU VAT reporting requirements.
• Calculate and support reporting of corporate income tax (CIT) and withholding tax (WHT).
• Prepare financial statements and statutory reports required by regulatory bodies (e.g., statistical offices, Intrastat, central banks).
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across EMEA (finance, sales, procurement) to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes and Group reporting.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate data and explanations.
• Contribute to the transition and standardization of accounting processes within the Shared Services Center (SSC).
