Job summary

HMB LINTEC marine is seeking a Service Engineer – Mechanical/ Hydraulic for permanent, full-time work based in Buxtehude, with worldwide deployment across Kiel, Poland, Rotterdam, Singapore, and beyond. You will repair crane systems, troubleshoot hydraulic and mechanical components, and prepare service reports while coordinating with the electrical team.

You should have mechanical vocational training and strong hands-on experience, plus fluent German and English, and a readiness to travel 90–95%

Qualifications

• Solid practical experience troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Good German and English skills (written/spoken).
• High flexibility for worldwide assignments with travel 90–95%.
• Mechanical vocational training or equivalent crane service background.

Responsibilities

• Repairing crane systems according to operating instructions and checking safety equipment.
• Troubleshooting hydraulic and mechanical systems with dedicated tools and equipment.
• Replacing hydraulic components and hoses as needed on-site.
• Replacing or overhaul of mechanical components on site and preparing service reports.
• Collaborating closely with electrical department colleagues.
• Inspecting and maintaining shipboard crane systems and preparing inspection reports.
