Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. seeks a Procurement Excellence Manager to advance capabilities, frameworks and operating models across Global Procurement. You will partner with Category Leaders to standardize processes, drive value and embed ESG considerations.

You will own end-to-end procurement excellence and coach teams on best practices, templates and tools while supporting change initiatives across regions and functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Operations or related field.
• 10+ years of strategic and operational procurement experience across direct/indirect spend.
• 12+ years of overall business experience in global, complex organizations.
• Experience in regulated industries (pharma/healthcare) is a plus.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders in matrix environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve procurement capabilities, templates and best practices for category management and SRM excellence.
• Own integrated operating models for Category Management, SRM, Sourcing, Supplier Segmentation, and Preferred Suppliers.
• Support end-to-end procurement process effectiveness and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Global Category Leaders to strengthen strategies and execution across spends.
• Drive adoption of standards across strategic programs and track performance gaps.
• Establish governance routines and supplier risk considerations within procurement frameworks.
• Coach category teams and cross-functional units on framework application.
• Develop content, templates and guidance materials with the Procurement Capabilities team.
• Support change management initiatives for new processes and tools.
• Identify tools and reporting solutions to strengthen KPI management and insights.
• Ensure procurement governance is fit for purpose and scalable.
• Collaborate across functions and regions for consistent execution and transparency.
• Contribute to supplier risk management and ESG initiatives within procurement.
