Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. seeks a strategic leader to drive global supplier inclusion and social impact within procurement. You will shape governance, regionalization, and measurement to expand diverse supplier participation and create meaningful community value.

In a hybrid setup, you will partner with Category teams, build Tier 2 programs, ensure data quality, and translate insights into credible reporting that supports innovation and local economic opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in supplier inclusion, supplier diversity, social impact, procurement, or related programs.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Social Sciences, Sustainability, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience building partnerships and connecting suppliers to commercial opportunities.
• Strong program design, stakeholder engagement, measurement, and communication capability.
• Experience operating across regions and navigating differing legal, cultural, and market contexts.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Define the global supplier inclusion and social impact strategy, governance, and annual priorities.
• Develop regional approaches that are legally appropriate and meaningful in local supplier markets.
• Build pipelines of qualified suppliers through databases, events, partnerships, and market intelligence.
• Create transparent matchmaking between suppliers and relevant sourcing opportunities.
• Partner with Category teams to identify opportunities and remove participation barriers.
• Design mentoring, readiness assessment, workshops, and development pathways.
• Connect suppliers to technical, commercial, quality, and procurement expertise needed to compete.
• Track conversion from engagement to qualified opportunity, award, growth, or other outcomes.
• Develop Tier 2 expectations and reporting with major suppliers.
• Define a procurement social-impact framework and report on outcomes.
