Job summary

Hatch Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Purchasing Agent (Buyer) in Katowice to oversee the timely sourcing of materials and equipment for large-scale, international projects.

You will work with engineering and procurement teams, ensuring bid integrity, contract administration, and cross‑disciplinary collaboration. The role requires 10+ years as a Buyer, strong procurement and negotiation skills, and familiarity with ISO 9000/19011 standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Buyer in local and international markets.
• Technical or trade qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000 and ISO 19011 standards.
• Proven ability to manage procurement for large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing from project initiation through close-out, including local and international orders.
• Oversee procurement, bid processes, and contract administration to meet project requirements.
• Develop standardized purchasing procedures and templates for project use.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, including import regulations and invoicing.
• Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to align with schedules and budgets.
