Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Materials Coordinator in Katowice, Poland, to ensure timely availability of materials for construction. You will forecast needs, resolve supply issues, and align material flow with the CWP schedule, collaborating with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams.

Essential: EPCM experience, strong materials management knowledge, and data integrity. Preferred: project management exposure and on-site construction experience on major projects.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in EPCM environments on large-scale capital projects.
  • Strong knowledge of materials management systems and their implementation.
  • Deep understanding of the full materials management process.
  • Excellent coordination and communication with EPCM partners.
  • Familiarity with planning, scheduling, and construction logistics.
  • Expertise in material identification, codification, and transaction data requirements.
  • Understanding of procurement reporting standards and best practices.
  • Solid grasp of procurement and construction management principles.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Materials Manager to achieve project goals using integrated systems.
  • Implement and manage the Material Responsibility Matrix (MRM).
  • Lead setup and operation of the materials management system.
  • Ensure accurate material data from design through installation.
  • Coordinate with Engineering to define and codify materials.
  • Maintain alignment across procurement from purchasing to site delivery.
  • Provide item-level material availability forecasts and resolve readiness issues.
  • Continuously improve materials workflows, systems, and integrations.

About the Role

As the Materials Coordinator, you’ll be the driving force behind ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to keep construction moving. You’ll forecast material needs, resolve supply issues, and align material flow with the Construction Work Package (CWP) schedule. Working closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams, you’ll maintain data integrity and visibility across the entire materials lifecycle.

What will you do:
  • Collaborate with the Materials Manager to execute project goals using integrated systems.
  • Implement and manage the Material Responsibility Matrix (MRM) to clarify roles across clients, EPCM, contractors, and partners.
  • Lead the setup and operation of the materials management system, including processes, procedures, and reporting.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent material data from design through to installation.
  • Coordinate with Engineering to define materials, codify them, and manage requisitions.
  • Maintain alignment across procurement disciplines from purchasing to site delivery and contractor issuance.
  • Provide item-level material availability forecasts and resolve readiness issues across all project locations.
  • Continuously improve materials management workflows, systems, and integrations throughout the project lifecycle.
