Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Kraków is seeking an IT Category Manager to drive infrastructure and end‑user technology sourcing. You will manage global contracts, supplier performance, and cross‑functional collaboration with Legal, Cybersecurity, and IT Governance to ensure compliant contracting.

With 5+ years in IT procurement, you will conduct spend analysis, lead Sourcing events in SAP Ariba, and coach a small team of sourcing professionals while driving value through standardization and lifecycle

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT procurement, category management, or supplier management in global industrial settings.
• Solid knowledge of IT hardware, networking, telecom, or end‑user computing categories.
• Experience with SAP Ariba and S/4HANA procurement processes.
• Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills.
• Experience leading small teams (2–3 FTEs).
• Collaboration with technical leaders and cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute global commercial category strategies defined by the Infrastructure Tower Functional Manager.
• Perform spend and market analysis and demand forecasting to identify savings and risk mitigation.
• Lead global sourcing events using SAP Ariba Sourcing (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs).
• Negotiate global contracts, pricing, maintenance, and telecom/network agreements.
• Collaborate with Legal, Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, and IT Governance for compliant contracting.
• Manage relationships with OEMs, resellers, and telecom providers; conduct QBRs.
• Coach and develop a small team of sourcing professionals.
• Drive value through benchmarking, consolidation, standardization, and lifecycle optimization.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with IT and Controlling.
• Maintain contract docs in Ariba Contracts; support audits and risk assessments.
