Job summary

State Street is seeking a Senior Associate Instructional Designer to craft learning solutions that build knowledge and skills for employees across the organization. You’ll translate information from SMEs into clear, engaging content and work with stakeholders worldwide to deliver high-quality materials.

You will apply adult learning principles, develop objectives and assessments, and maintain materials using standard authoring tools while ensuring accessibility and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience applying instructional design and adult learning principles to design and develop learning solutions.
• Strong research, comprehension, and analytical skills; learn unfamiliar topics and resolve ambiguity.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; translate complex information into clear content.
• Strong visual design sense and UX principles.
• Experience creating animated learning content with Vyond or similar tools.
• Knowledge of LMS, SCORM, and AI-enabled tools; proficiency with Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Review, research, and organize information from multiple sources to develop accurate learning content.
• Apply instructional design and adult learning principles to create objectives, assessments, and experiences.
• Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to validate content and deliver effective solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain learning solutions using approved tools and branding standards.
• Manage multiple projects, track progress, and communicate risks across locations and functions.
• Ensure materials are accurate, navigable, and free of functionality issues through reviews and testing.
• Support teamwork and continuous improvement within the learning group.
