Job summary

Rolls-Royce Kraków Global Capability Centre is seeking an experienced Finance Professional - Fixed Assets to act as a global partner for fixed asset accounting. You will oversee capitalization, disposals, transfers, depreciation, and reporting, ensuring IFRS/local GAAP compliance and adherence to capitalization policies.

You will collaborate with project accounting, finance controllers, and auditors to ensure asset data accuracy, drive process improvements, and support the monthly/annual close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; pursuing or holding professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA) preferred.
• 5+ years in fixed asset accounting and/or financial accounting.
• Expertise in complex transactions (impairments, retirements, transfers), financial reporting and disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to person for global fixed asset inquiries, offering accounting support and guidance to business units especially in Capital Program Planning / investment Meetings.
• Provide advice on capitalization criteria, asset lives, and componentization standards to ensure compliance and clarity.
• Work closely with project accounting teams to transition Assets Under Construction (AUC) into fixed assets, ensuring smooth processing.
• Create and manage asset records, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax policies.
• Verify master data and link assets to the correct cost centre, location, and useful life.
• Record and adjust asset retirement obligations and related liabilities.
• Validate asset creation, disposals, and transfers for accuracy and compliance.
• Process depreciation and amortization in line with regulations.
• Prepare and analyse fixed asset reports, including additions, disposals, and AUC.
• Support monthly and year-end sub-ledger close activities.
• Reconcile the fixed asset sub-ledger with the General Ledger and resolve discrepancies.
• Look for ways to automate and standardize processes across its competency areas; participate in system enhancements and UAT.
