Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to define and govern ABB-wide application architecture. You will ensure modularity, lifecycle management, and interoperability across business units and product teams in a hybrid work model.

You will lead the development of guardrails for portfolio management, SaaS vs. custom development, and cross-domain decisions, while guiding modernization and decommissioning as ABB evolves.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in application or enterprise architecture roles in large, decentralized or federated organizations.
• Experience influencing architecture without direct delivery ownership.
• Expertise in monolith, microservices, modular monoliths, SaaS and COTS integration.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern enterprise-wide application architecture across ABB.
• Set up guardrails, target states, and decision frameworks for architecture.
• Oversee architectural reviews and portfolio management with cross-domain teams.
• Balance enterprise consistency with local setup and optimize lifecycle management.
