Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to define and govern ABB-wide application architecture. You will ensure modularity, lifecycle management, and interoperability across business units and product teams in a hybrid work model.

You will lead the development of guardrails for portfolio management, SaaS vs. custom development, and cross-domain decisions, while guiding modernization and decommissioning as ABB evolves.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in application or enterprise architecture roles in large, decentralized or federated organizations.
• Experience influencing architecture without direct delivery ownership.
• Expertise in monolith, microservices, modular monoliths, SaaS and COTS integration.

Responsibilities

Each day, you will be making sure that our application landscapes evolve coherently while enabling business units and product teams to retain autonomy in how they build and run applications. You will also be responsible for setting up enterprise guardrails, target states, and decision frameworks for application architecture, focusing on modularity, lifecycle management, interoperability, and alignment to business capabilities.
