Job summary

Molex is seeking an experienced Sourcing and Procurement professional to manage our global Outsourcing category with emphasis on Europe. You will develop category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost reductions while aligning with global procurement objectives.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure supply continuity, maintain PSL/AVL, and lead analytics and savings reporting. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• Experience in procurement focused on direct spend.
• Track record in category management and supplier engagement.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic/international).
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of stamping, molding, connectors & cable assemblies a plus.

This role reports to the Sr. Manager – Global Category MGT. You will be responsible for developing and executing Outsourcing (Molding, Stamping, Plating, Connector & Cable Assembly) category strategies, category reporting needs, support in filling gaps in the supply base, developing new suppliers and fostering relationships with key suppliers.

Your Job

This role reports to the Sr. Manager – Global Category MGT. You will be responsible for developing and executing Outsourcing (Molding, Stamping, Plating, Connector & Cable Assembly) category strategies, category reporting needs, support in filling gaps in the supply base, developing new suppliers and fostering relationships with key suppliers.

Our Team

You will work closely with the internal stakeholders to build relationships and champion global strategic sourcing, supplier selection and analytics while providing support to reduce costs, secure supply, and provide technical advice based on supplier capabilities.

What You Will Do

• Develop and execute category strategies by working closely with all stakeholders and businesses.
• Provide leadership and guidance in the following ways; stimulate creativity / innovation in others, foster new ideas, support those who initiate change and take risks, promote a global perspective.
• Assists in defining category procurement strategy for Molex aligned with overall Molex strategy.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain a preferred/approved supplier list (PSL/AVL).
• Manage supplier evaluation, segmentation, and performance within the category.
• Support and lead on spend, saving analytics and report outs related to Category.
• Drive reductions for category through analytics, update and manage spend and savings data.
• Champion change and innovation. Lead and support extended outsourcing teams meeting.
• Closely collaborate with business depts. to ensure supply continuity and business roadmaps.
• Manage ongoing supplier relationships (SRM), supply continuity, supplier co-development account plans (CDAP) and change management needs.
• Savings Drive: Update market dynamics and index movements; update on price increase / decrease impact, update cost reductions and cost avoidance.
• Manage category projects (Value Add – Value Engineering) across businesses and company-wide.
• Understand, support and comply with current Molex policies and practice related business programs including but not limited to government regulations,
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience in the procurement function focused on direct spend
• Experience focused on category management
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively influence, network, and work with culturally diverse teams at different levels within the organization in a positive manner.
• Good organizational and analytical skills. Negotiations and supplier engagement skills.
• Knowledge of Stamping, Molding, Connector & Cable Assembly supply bases, technologies and products.
• Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization - deliver oral presentations.
• Demonstrated experience driving cross functional collaboration and geographies.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Previous background in Engineering, Finance, Project Management and/or Business Management
• Experience working with leading international teams.
• Deep knowledge of SAP and other procurement tools.
