Job summary

LyondellBasell in Poznań is seeking an AR Specialist to join the Shared Services Center. You will handle cash applications, invoicing, rebates and commission calculations, and support month-end close with reconciliations and KPI analysis.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 2–3 years of accounting/finance experience, fluency in English, and strong Excel skills. SAP experience is a plus, and a hybrid work arrangement is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 2–3 years of accounting/finance experience is acceptable.
• Exposure to accounting principles (US GAAP, IFRS) is an asset.
• Experience in a global, fast-paced environment is beneficial.
• SAP experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze daily cash application and reconcile unposted items.
• Process lockbox and bank statements; identify chargebacks and discounts.
• Balance and reconcile cash GL accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor billing due lists and resolve customer queries before month-end.
• Issue invoices, cancellations and rebills; post credit/debit notes as requested.
• Record journal entries for third party invoices and maintain documentation.
• Support external audits, including SOX and revenue recognition audits.
• Monitor AR performance and report recurring issues to seniors.
• Create and review rebate agreements; post accruals and issue credit notes.
• Track commission balance sheet and investigate discrepancies between accruals and payouts.
• Prepare AR account reconciliations and follow up on reconciling items.
• Run daily control reports to validate E Billing setups and coordinate changes.
• Assist KPI reporting with accurate transactional data and root-cause analysis.
• Utilize AR systems and automation tools; adhere to process documentation.
