Job summary

TMF Group is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting Team in Katowice. The role focuses on establishing and driving efficiencies in client service delivery within Accounting & Tax practices. The position offers a hybrid work model with quarterly office visits.

Responsibilities include GL and closing activities, reconciliations, AP/AR processing, and statutory financial statements. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in GL, ERP experience (D365/SAP), and strong English.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of accounting principles across AP, AR, GL and Reporting.
• Experience in multi-country, multi-entity environments.
• Experience in BPO/SSC/Centralized delivery model.
• 2–3 years in General Ledger; AR/AP exposure beneficial.
• Proficiency in MS Office; ERP systems experience.
• Strong English communication (written and spoken).
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform timely and accurate General Ledger accounting and reporting, including journal entries, accruals, allocations, and adjustments.
• Independently own period-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and review Balance Sheet reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations; investigate discrepancies.
• Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Analyze and apply payments to subledgers or General Ledger accounts; ensure accurate invoicing.
• Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with local GAAP; engage Local Experts as needed.
• Handle payment processes for TMF clients; understand operational risks and work across countries.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders; resolve operational issues.
• Support compliance with accounting standards, policies, and reporting; identify process improvements.
• Collaborate with team members and take on additional tasks as required.
