Job summary

Aon plc is seeking a Technical Accounting Team Manager with German to lead a large, high-performing accounting team. You will drive priorities, coach talent, and partner with key stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting.

You will organize operations to meet SLAs, collaborate with German partners, and implement robust controls. You will mentor specialists and drive continuous improvement across processes and documentation while communicating complex topics clearly to non-experts.

Qualifications

Experience leading large, complex teams in fast-paced environments.
Ability to set clear priorities, plan workload, and supervise performance.
Strong leadership and coaching skills for high-performing specialists.
Proven ability to challenge requirements and manage stakeholders constructively.
Excellent written and spoken communication of complex accounting topics.
Track record of driving continuous improvement in processes, controls, and service quality.

Responsibilities

Organize and supervise operations to meet SLAs, quality requirements and follow processes.
Work with Partners to ensure timely, high standard delivery.
Develop back-up structure and plan for SPOF (Single Points of Failure).
Document processes and share knowledge within the team.
Analyze data to identify errors, bottlenecks and capacity issues.
Provide financial insights for planning and strategic initiatives.
Lead financial services projects from initiation to completion.
Prepare clear reports for internal and external partners.
Apply conflict resolution to address discrepancies and team challenges.
Engage in talent management, performance reviews, coaching and mentorship.
Design training and development programs for the accounting team.
Encourage team to identify process/tools improvements to enhance service delivery.
