Job summary

GE Vernova in Poland is seeking a Field Engineer to lead on-site generator diagnostics, electrical tests, and inspections. You will work with back office, engineering, and remote support teams, applying technical concepts to complex problems and ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires a power/electrical degree or equivalent experience, fluency in English and Polish, and willingness to travel internationally. On-site work with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Power or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Understanding of electrical testing methods and a willingness to learn.
• Strong ability to read circuit diagrams and interpret specs.
• Willingness to travel internationally (~30%) and work irregular hours.
• Fluent in English and Polish, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics on generators: visual inspections and electrical tests on stators/rotors.
• Perform robotic inspections and high voltage tests on generators.
• Recommissioning of air-cooled and H2-cooled generators.
• Plan and direct labor, tools, and materials; ensure safety and quality.
• Provide technical support to customers and field technicians.
• Attend technical meetings and provide timely internal/external reports.
