Job summary

GE Vernova in Poland is seeking a Field Engineer for generator diagnostics to lead on-site inspections and electrical tests, coordinating with back office and remote support teams. You will manage tools, materials and planning, while ensuring safety and quality compliance throughout the assignment.

The role requires travel (approx. 30%), fluency in English and Polish, and a strong technical foundation in electrical engineering to diagnose and resolve complex issues on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Power/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Understanding of electrical testing methods encouraged to apply.
• Strong ability to read circuit diagrams and specifications.
• Willingness to travel internationally (about 30% depending on projects).
• Fluency in English and Polish (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics on the generator, including electrical tests and visual inspections.
• Perform robotic inspections and high voltage tests on generators.
• Recommissioning of air-cooled and H2-cooled generators.
• Troubleshooting of electrical systems and planning resource allocation.
• Provide technical expertise to customers and field technicians.
• Attend technical meetings with customers and provide reports.
• Drive customer satisfaction and maintain safety standards.
