Job summary

Kingfisher plc in Kraków is seeking a General Ledger Manager/Team Leader with strong hands-on accounting experience to drive General Ledger activities and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

The role combines managerial responsibilities with day-to-day accounting tasks, including month-end close, reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements. You will lead the GL team while remaining actively involved in operations, ensuring IFRS/local GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading General Ledger teams.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close and reconciliations.
• Fluent English, excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee General Ledger accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports in a timely manner.
• Support audits and coordinate audit-related activities.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, AP, AR, and other teams.
• Develop and lead the General Ledger team while maintaining hands-on involvement.
