Commerzbank AG – Poland is seeking a GCP Engineer to design, build and operate cloud infrastructure in a hybrid setup based in Łódź. You will collaborate with an international team to automate provisioning with Terraform, manage observability, security controls and FinOps, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.

The role focuses on reliability, cost optimization, and compliance within a finance environment, with opportunities for growth and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Design, build and maintain GCP infrastructure according to standards.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation.
• Observability, incident support and runbook documentation.
• Understanding of cloud security controls (IAM, encryption) and audits.

Join our team as a GCP Engineer!

About the team:

Our team is part of Cost Processing & Transactions cluster. The cluster provides standard reporting for controlling group costs, processes the accounts payable and travel expense reports, and makes the system landscape available to numerous customers in the CFO department. We are a diverse international team with around 150 employees in Frankfurt, Bremen, Hamburg, Lodz and Prague and have clients in Germany and abroad. We are responsible for around 200 accounting and controlling processes and 45 IT products, from A as accounting to Z like Zet-Visions, and are therefore active in the heart of Commerzbank. With systems created by our team we are meeting demands which cannot be met by “box” products. We develop and maintain applications used in controlling environment (group and segment controlling) which provide planning, analysis and reporting functions. Working close with business we are able to quickly adapt them to current regulations and needs.

You will be responsible for:

• Design, build and maintain GCP infrastructure and cloud services (compute, storage, networking) according to architecture, security and compliance standards.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and support CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments.
• Implement and operate observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) and ensure operational readiness, including runbooks and on-call/incident support as required.
• Manage cloud security controls (IAM, service accounts, secrets, encryption) and support audits, vulnerability remediation and policy compliance.
• Optimize reliability and cost (FinOps), troubleshoot complex issues across environments, and continuously improve platform stability, performance and automation.
