Job summary

MOL Group, via MOL Polska, is expanding its team in Poland and seeks a Gastro Category Manager to shape category functioning at service stations. The role involves supervising contracts, driving category strategies, and negotiating with suppliers in a fast-paced retail environment.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields, 3+ years in a similar role, strong commercial knowledge, and fluency in English. Warsaw/Gdańsk base with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in management/economics/marketing/trade/business/food tech or related area.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar retail/gastro role is required.
• Very good commercial knowledge and advanced FMCG know-how.

Responsibilities

• Oversee selected gastro categories at petrol stations and supervise contract execution with suppliers.
• Negotiate with suppliers and producers and analyze assortment, pricing and promotions.
• Develop and implement product category strategies and drive sales plans; forecast and monitor category performance.
• Planograms changes and promotional activities within assigned categories; monitor market trends and competitors.

Gastro Category Manager (K/M)

• min. bachelor's degree - preferred in the fields of management, economics, marketing, trade, business, food technology, or a related area


• min. 3 years' experience in a similar position in the retail /gastro industry;


• very good commercial knowledge, advanced knowledge of FMCG


• Knowledge of the service station or foodservice market will be an additional asset.


• knowledge of category management;


• ability to build and implement product category strategies;


• ability to identify opportunities and threats in ongoing projects;


• strong commercial negotiating skills;


• proficiency in MS Office - especially Excel and Power Point;


• ability to think analytically and work with large amounts of data;


• ability to work under time pressure, teamwork, communication skills, flexibility;


• driving licence (cat. B)


• English language – very good command, both spoken and written

You will have a unique opportunity to shape category functioning through

• supervision of selected gastro categories at petrol stations


• supervising the proper implementation of contracts with suppliers in the assigned categories;


• negotiations with suppliers and producers


• analysing assortment, pricing and promotional needs at service stations;


• settlement of marketing services with suppliers/producers;


• participating in the sales planning process for gastro ;


• analysing sales in subordinate categories;


• managing assigned product categories (introduction to sales, monitoring of sales, withdrawal from sales, negotiation of purchase prices, setting of selling prices);


• developing and ordering changes to planograms;


• planning and implementing promotional activities within the assigned categories;


• making sales forecasts in assigned categories and executing annual category plans;


• tracking market trends for the categories;


• monitoring competitor activities.
