Job summary

Baker Hughes in Warszawa, Poland, is seeking an Engineer - Gas Turbine Performance and Operability to analyze and optimize gas turbine and combined cycle power plant performance. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop expertise in thermodynamics, combustion, and engineering simulation tools while contributing to real customer projects.

The role offers structured on-the-job training and a clear development path toward independently managing technical analyses and client‑facing

Qualifications

Degree in Power or Chemical and Process engineering or equivalent.
Deep knowledge of Gas Turbine thermodynamics and fuel combustion.
Basic knowledge of Steam Turbine and Combined Cycle thermodynamics.
Ability to analyze steady-state and transient performance scenarios.
Knowledge of gas turbine and power plant simulators and process simulators.
Programming and data analysis in engineering: MATLAB, C++, VBA, MINITAB.
Support during Bid and Requisition processes.
Strong English written and oral communication; international experience.

Responsibilities

Participate in full product development and execution from feasibility to position Gas Turbine solutions.
Drive unit and system level functional performance to deliver customer solutions.
Calculate and report performance against industry standards.
Prepare fuel burnability feasibility studies.
Contribute to design and enhancement of performance, operability, and combustion technologies.
Lead analytical and design activities using proven methods.
Communicate findings across teams and present to leadership.
