11bitstudios in Warsaw is seeking a Game Director to own the creative direction from concept through release. You will work with senior leadership to translate vision into gameplay and production plans, guiding a diverse team of developers.

Strong leadership, prototyping experience in Unreal Engine, and fluency in Polish and English are essential. Hybrid work in our Warsaw office is offered with flexible hours and a global perspective.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience focused on design, art or creative direction.
• Experience as Game Director/Creative Director/Design Lead or Art Director/Lead is required.
• Experience leading teams of 20+ developers.
• Prototyping and shipping games using Unreal Engine; knowledge of its limitations.
• Excellent Polish and English communication at B2 level or higher.
• Understanding of meaningful entertainment and relatable games; proven relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive game direction from concept to release; ensure high-quality player experience with commercial success.
• Collaborate with creative leadership to define vision and align production with strategy.
• Lead cross-functional teams; translate vision into design mechanics and systems.
• Review budgets and schedules with producers; monitor progress during production.
• Provide mentoring and feedback; resolve creative and technical roadblocks.
