Job summary

Citi is seeking a Trustee professional to supervise fund activities in a fast-paced, regulated environment. You will monitor depositary duties, engage with clients and administrators, and resolve data discrepancies with a maker-checker approach.

The role requires up to 3 years in financial services, a Bachelor’s degree (nice-to-have), and strong English (C1). You should be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Up to 3 years of experience in Financial Services (ideally in Investment Funds).
• Bachelor's diploma or higher (nice-to-have).
• Advanced English (C1).
• Able to work in a structured, high-volume, time-sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the team in providing a high-quality depositary monitoring service to ensure clients comply with regulatory rules and fiduciary responsibilities.
• Maintain excellent relationships with clients and third-party administrators, communicating professionally and meeting deadlines.
• Clarify and resolve data inconsistencies between Citi records and customer data (maker-checker role).
• Respond promptly to standard and non-standard queries related to duties while maintaining professional correspondence.
• Take over Supervisor's duties during absences and ensure continuity of processes.
• Coordinate onboarding of new clients, processes, and solutions within the team.

Team/Role Overview

Trustee Team is a part of the Markets and Securities Services. The role of the Trustee is to supervise the activities of a collective investment or pension fund, ensuring that the fund acts in accordance with legal regulations and the legal status of the entity.

The purpose is the protection of the interests of fund investors and pension fund participants.

This activity is performed based on open communication with our customers.

On your typical day you will be mostly responsible for:

• Supporting the team in providing a high quality depositary monitoring service to ensure that clients comply with the regulatory rules and in accordance with corporate trusteeship responsibilities.
• Maintaining excellent relationships with clients and their third party administrators communicating with them in a professional, clear and concise manner, meeting all deadlines.
• Clarifying and resolving inconsistencies between data reflected by Citi and supplied by the customer (maker-checker role).
• Timely answering to the standard and non-standard questions related to the duties performed by maintaining an appropriate level of business correspondence,
• Taking over Supervisor's duties related to the management of the process during absences,
• Coordination of the new clients / processes / solutions onboarding in the team / department.

Is it you we're looking for?

• You have up to 3 years of experience within Financial Services (ideally in Investment Funds area),
• Bachelor's diploma or higher (nice-to-have),
• You are advanced in English - C1 - written and spoken,
• You are able to work in a structured, high volume, time sensitive environment and you are not afraid of multitasking,
• You are a people person, open to delivering superior customer service,
• You are motivated, extremely well-organized and very detail-oriented,
• You can be a pro-active team player but also able to work independently (with no direct supervision).
