Job summary

IPF Digital in Warsaw seeks an experienced Software Tester to join the Broker Team. You will design and execute functional, API, and UI tests across web and mobile platforms,确保 regression coverage and quality throughout the SDLC.

The role requires strong collaboration with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and cross‑border teams. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of testing experience, proficiency in REST API and SQL, and familiarity with Agile (Scrum).

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software testing.
• Experience with REST API and SQL-based backend testing, plus frontend testing.
• Experience in Agile environments such as Scrum.
• ISTQB certification would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Functional testing: create and execute test scenarios from requirements and specs.
• API and backend testing: validate REST APIs and data integrity across services.
• Frontend and mobile testing: verify user journeys across web and mobile clients.
• Quality assurance: perform test script dry runs, peer reviews, defect management until resolution.
• Requirements definition and management: collaborate to translate behaviour into test coverage.

About Team

• Join our Broker Team, where you'll help ensure reliable integrations between our systems and external brokers operating across our markets.

• You'll work across backend and frontend solutions, combining API, database, mobile and end-to-end testing to make sure our integrations deliver the quality and experience our customers and partners expect.

This role is based in Poland, with responsibility for initiatives across all IPF Digital operations and markets.

Here's how you'll put your skills into action:

• Functional Testing: Turn business requirements, functional specifications and use cases into effective test scenarios and manual test cases. You'll execute functional, integration, E2E and UAT testing to make sure solutions work as intended before they reach our customers and partners.

• API and Backend Testing: Test REST APIs, system integrations and databases using SQL, validating data and system behaviour across connected services. Your work will help ensure our broker integrations are accurate, reliable and ready to operate across different markets.

• Frontend and Mobile Testing: Validate customer-facing functionality across web and mobile devices, identifying issues that could affect usability or successful completion of key journeys and helping the team deliver a consistent experience.

• Quality Assurance: Carry out test-script dry runs, peer reviews and structured test execution throughout the development lifecycle. You'll identify, document and manage defects through to resolution, giving the team clear insight into product quality and release readiness.

• Requirements Definition and Management: Collaborate with Business Analysts, the Product Owner and other team members to understand requirements, identify gaps and translate expected behaviour into meaningful test coverage.

• Test Automation Support: Work alongside the team to execute and maintain automated tests, applying your understanding of automation and programming concepts to strengthen regression coverage and make testing more efficient over time.

• Communication and language skills: Communicate confidently and clearly in both Polish and English, adapting your language and style to suit diverse audiences. You'll facilitate collaboration across international teams, ensuring shared understanding and smooth delivery across markets.

We also know that experience counts - and we believe that the following can support your success:

• Over 4 years of experience in software testing, with strong practical knowledge of Functional, Integration, E2E and UAT testing and an understanding of testing activities within SDLC and STLC.

• Hands-on experience with REST API and SQL-based backend testing, alongside frontend testing, and experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum.

• A collaborative and proactive approach, with strong problem-solving and time-management skills and the ability to work independently, manage deadlines and stay effective when priorities change.

• Experience in financial services or banking would be a strong advantage.

• Experience with test automation, Robot Framework or programming languages such as Java, Groovy or Python would be an advantage, as would ISTQB certification.
