Job summary

Commerzbank is seeking a Senior Fullstack Developer to design and integrate high-quality solutions across Java/Spring back-end and React front-end. You will work on cloud-native stacks, Dockerized microservices, and collaborate with international teams.

The role emphasizes incident analysis, documentation, and guiding junior staff. You will participate in agile ceremonies and help roll out software to test and production environments, while aligning with data management initiatives and API

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java J2EE, Spring and JavaScript.
• Experience with React and modern UI frameworks.
• Familiar with REST/SOAP/XML/WSDL web services.
• Understanding of Agile Software Development / Scrum.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Cloud platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and microservices.

Responsibilities

Join our team as a Fullstack Developer (Senior)

In your role as Software Engineer you are responsible for understanding complex application, data flows and their business purpose in order to develop and integrate new modules, changes or releases into our IT landscape.

Your main task is to design and integrate high quality solutions until deployment into test environments. You support incidents, problems management and implement bug fixes or changes.

Description of the cluster:

Customer Data Management (CDM) harmonizes the currently heterogeneous application landscape for customer master data to enable fast and efficient access across the bank and to create the basis for a new standard of data quality. We create group-wide views of the personal and customer master data and link these to alliances for internal and regulatory processes.

Our mission is to turn Party Data into an Asset.

We are operating across Frankfurt, Lodz, and Düsseldorf, collaborating closely, using modern IT infrastructure and leveraging cloud solutions to develop APIs, database and frontend solutions, providing high quality customer master data to our consumers within bank.

You will be responsible for:

1. Technical analysis, technical solution design and implementation of new functions, modules or interfaces based on technology used (Spring, Hibernate, UI frameworks)
2. Working with JavaScript and React for front‑end functionalities development
3. Development of applications for modern Cloud platform technology stacks (Dockerized, Microserivces, Serverless)
4. In case of incidents or issues, analysis and designing solutions of the problems
5. Creation of technical documentation
6. Consultancy and advise of Junior staff in your team on development aspects and co‑ordination of local team and the German counterparts
7. Support the rollouts in production. Preparing software builds and release packages for the move to test and production environments
8. Participate in scrum ceremonies (Daily, Planning, Review, Retro).

Which technology & skills are important for us?

1. High knowledge of Java J2EE, Spring, JavaScript
2. Development of standard interfaces based on standard technologies as Web Services REST/SOAP/XML/WSDL
3. At least basic knowledge of React
4. Knowledge of Agile Software Development / Scrum
5. Basic knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes Serverless as well as SQL, CI / CD and Cloud Platform
