Job summary

Adtran is looking for an outstanding Full-Stack Software Engineer to work on the SDOController Web UI and MosaicNetwork Controller Web UI projects. You will design, develop, and continually improve products using new technologies and agile practices, collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to meet customer needs.

The role includes front-end leadership, GUI development, and close coordination with other teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent
• At least 4 years of professional experience as a Front-end Full-stack Developer
• A solid foundation in CS, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering
• At least 2 years of experience developing React-based applications
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience with React test frameworks (Jest or similar)
• Experience building UI components with Storybook and collaborating with UX designers (Figma)
• Programming skills in Java (Java 11/17)
• Knowledge of OO design principles and design patterns
• Knowledge of Linux systems
• Experience with JUnit
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot
• Excellent teamwork abilities
• Git proficiency
• At least B1 English proficiency

Responsibilities

• The primary responsibility will be developing front-end and some back-end features for the SDO Controller and Mosaic Network Controller products
• Design and implement new product features using React, Java, and Spring technologies
• Design or assist in designing new features for the SDO controller product
• Develop enhancements for existing software
• Contribute to feasibility studies of needed software development
• Document the design including features definition and architecture
• Participate in design reviews and code reviews
• Develop unit and component-level tests for implemented software modules and enhancements
• Coordinate development activities across teams while meeting project schedules
• Fix software bugs found during all testing phases
• Work with the team to deploy and test incremental software releases

The successful candidate willbe responsible fordesigning, developing, and continually improving our productsusingnew technologiesand best agile practices, and will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure the product meets the needs of our customers.

The SoftwareEngineer will bethefirstengineer in the teamresponsible forfull-stackdevelopmentandthe onlyengineerresponsible forGUIdevelopment. Other teams withinthe organization already include engineers working on full-stack development.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent educationrequired

• At least 4 years ofprofessionalexperienceas aFront-endorFull-stackDeveloper

• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering

• At least 2 years of experience developing React-based applications

• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScriptand Node.js

• Experience with Reacttest frameworks(Jestor similar)

• Experiencedeveloping UI components using Storybookand collaborating with UX designers usingFigma or equivalent tools

• Programming skills in Java (good knowledgeofJava 11 and Java 17)

• Knowledge of softwareconstructiontechniques

• Knowledge of object-oriented design principles and design patterns

• Knowledge of Linux system

• ExperiencewithJUnit

• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
