Job summary

Hapag-Lloyd is seeking a Fleet IT Intern to support daily operations and strategic IT initiatives across maritime systems. The role blends IT, OT, and shipping in an international setting, with mentorship and hands‑on learning.

You will help manage fleet applications, assist in testing and deployment, and contribute to documentation and internal communications. A structured training path and flexible hours support study and work balance.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of IT systems or maritime operations (nice to have).
• Ability to organize technical documentation clearly and accurately.
• Analytical mindset with problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, SharePoint).
• Interest in working with operational technology and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Lifecycle Management: assist in QA, testing, deployment, maintenance and documentation for fleet IT applications and OT systems onboard vessels.
• Network Integration: help integrate applications and OT components into onshore and vessel IT environments; assist in server and network setup/testing.
• Documentation & Standards: create and maintain technical docs, procedures, and guidelines for security and reliability.
• Internal Communication & Promotion: support creation of internal SharePoint pages and communication materials.
