Qualifications

• Experience in accounting, preferably fixed assets accounting.
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills and good MS Excel knowledge.
• Understand fixed asset processes: capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals.
• Good organizational and time management skills in a changing environment.
• Goal-oriented approach with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process daily and monthly Fixed Assets accounting transactions including acquisitions, capitalization, transfers, disposals and retirements.
• Perform fixed asset reconciliations and ensure accuracy of asset records.
• Calculate and post depreciation, impairment, and related adjustments.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities and prepare fixed asset reports.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
• Investigate discrepancies and provide documentation to auditors.
• Support process improvements, automation and transition projects in Fixed Assets.
• Cooperate with internal stakeholders and METRO Group entities for timely service.
• Maintain SOPs and other process documentation; participate in training and knowledge sharing.
