Job summary

RedTrack seeks a Software Developer to become the first engineer in a spec-driven, AI-first development model. This role emphasizes turning requirements into precise specifications and identifying ambiguity before implementation.

You will help shape how the system behaves in real-world conditions. As the inaugural member, you will define how spec-driven and AI-assisted engineering works in practice, review unfamiliar code for correctness, design backend components, and drive robust testing and

Qualifications

• Strong backend software engineering experience.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into precise technical specifications.
• Understanding of backend architecture, databases, concurrency, performance, scalability, and failure handling.
• Ability to review and reason about code, including code you did not write.
• Strong testing, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with CI/CD, observability, and production engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools or interest in AI-assisted development.
• High level of ownership and ability to work independently in a new model.
• Russian proficiency at native or C2 level is mandatory; English for technical communication.
• EU residence.

Responsibilities

• Turn product and technical requirements into clear, implementation-ready specifications.
• Identify ambiguity, hidden assumptions, constraints, failure scenarios, and risks before implementation.
• Use AI agents to implement solutions with specifications, context, constraints, and acceptance criteria.
• Review and verify AI-generated and unfamiliar code for correctness, architectural fit, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Design reliable backend components and data access patterns for production-scale systems.
• Validate solutions through testing, benchmarking, profiling, runtime metrics, and evidence.
• Investigate failures and continuously improve guardrails, tooling, and AI-agent instructions.
