Job summary

FIS in Warsaw is seeking an experienced software engineer to contribute to the development and support of fintech solutions used by financial institutions across Europe. You will participate in all phases of product development and help ensure secure, reliable processing of transactions.

Join a collaborative, international team. The role requires strong C development, relational databases, and Agile experience, with occasional travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in C development and relational databases.
• Proven experience within a payments, banking, or financial transaction processing environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and communicative mindset.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Ability to work independently on complex projects.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Willingness to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of product development, implementation, and support
• Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, story telling)
• Develop new features and enhance existing functionality with a strong focus on quality
• Support clients on medium to large-scale projects
• Coach and mentor junior colleagues
• Utilize ANSI C/C++ (UNIX), Bash, Perl, PL/SQL in day-to-day tasks
• Cloud deployments on AWS and Azure (development and client environments)
