Job summary

Sappi Europe - Cracow Centre of Process Excellence is seeking an ambitious Financial Controlling professional to join the team in Krakow. You will support centralized finance with costing, closing, reporting, and analytics across the plants, with emphasis on governance and improvement of processes.

The role requires 2+ years in financial controlling, strong Excel/SAP CO skills, and experience with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in Financial Controlling, manufacturing or international corporate setting.
• Strong understanding of management accounting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Experience with SAP CO module and advanced Excel is required.
• Familiarity with data visualization and analytics platforms like Tableau/Power BI/Looker/GCP is a plus.
• Some knowledge of SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Costing & inventory valuation, including stock reporting and cost analysis.
• Period-end closing, reconciliations, postings, and cost allocations.
• Prepare financial reports and develop Tableau dashboards and HFM reporting.
• Maintain master data, governance-compliant documentation, and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Assist Controllers and regional management in interpreting financial data and recommending improvements.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance processes and analytics.

Sappi Europe - Finance - Cracow Centre of Process Excellence.

Position description
We are looking for an ambitious individual who will join our Centre of Process Excellence in Krakow and support us in further development of the centralized Finance department. As amember of Financial Controlling teamyou will be responsible for preparing, analyzing and reporting of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Costing & Inventory: Execute processes within product costing, inventory valuation, stock reporting, and variable/fixed cost analysis.
• Period-End Closing & Allocations: Prepare month-end close calculations, reconciliations, posting requests, and monthly cost allocations.
• Financial Reporting & BI: Prepare recurring and ad-hoc financial reports, including the development and maintenance of Tableau dashboards and HFM reporting.
• Master Data & Compliance: Maintain Controlling-related master data, update process documentation, and ensure compliance with governance standards.
• Planning & Forecasting: Support financial budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
• Business Partnering: Assist the local factory Controllers and regional management in interpreting financial data, evaluating decision-making implications, and proposing performance improvements.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in CO projects across entities and continuously enhance financial processes, analytics tools, and reporting efficiency

Your Profile:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business field.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Financial Controlling, preferably in a manufacturing or international corporate environment.
• Accounting & Finance: Solid understanding of management accounting, cost controlling, and financial reporting principles.
• Technical & Software Skills:
• Knowledge of SAP (CO module).
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Experience with financial consolidation/reporting systems (e.g., OneStream, HFM).
• Familiarity with data visualization and analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or GCP) is a strong advantage.
• Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus.
