Job summary

LyondellBasell Industries in Poznań is seeking a Finance System Administrator to oversee Cadency-based financial close tooling and related processes. You will manage daily Cadency schedules, monitor interfaces, and support journal entry templates and reconciliations to ensure accurate monthly and quarterly closes.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information systems, or another relevant discipline.
• Experience supporting enterprise finance systems and close-related processes.
• Experience with reconciliation, consolidation, OneStream, or adjacent finance systems.
• Experience supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual control activities and user support for finance operations.
• Experience with system changes, upgrades, or production support with technology teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Own daily administration of Cadency schedules, jobs, interfaces, notifications, and batches to keep the environment stable and ready for finance operations.
• Validate interface report folders, review RPA outputs, and confirm installed components are online and operating correctly.
• Run or support auto or bulk reconciliation processes and related FX updates required for monthly close execution.
• Maintain reconciliation schedules and templates, and create and maintain manual journal entry templates and approver workflows, that support policy-compliant processing.
• Review unassigned accounts, process decertification requests, and support account reassignments or account cleanup where needed.
• Troubleshoot Cadency issues and work across Digital Technology, developers, platform teams, process teams and the software vendor when incidents require deeper investigation and testing.
• Review the ServiceNow queue, respond to user support needs, and process ongoing user and access requests in a timely manner.
• Add users, maintain user profiles, manage user groups, process user change requests, and administer roles and rights in line with control expectations.
• Support SOX and internal control requirements by producing control reports, validating exceptions, and providing system evidence to Corporate Accounting, Internal Control, Internal Audit, and external auditors.
• Help plan and coordinate Cadency upgrades with Trintech and Digital Technology, including system lock-down, interface testing, and post-change validation.
• Maintain current dashboard news and approved documentation so users have access to the right instructions and updates.

The Finance System Administrator is responsible for day-to-day administration, operational stability, controls support, and continuous improvement of Trintech Cadency, with primary focus on manual journal entry and account reconciliation activities that support the finance close process. The role coordinates multiple time sensitive handoffs with internal stakeholders and partners closely with Record to Report teams, Accounting, Digital Technology, bot handlers, and business process owners to keep the platform reliable, controlled, and fit for monthly, quarterly, and annual close requirements.

Primary responsibilities include monitoring system jobs and interfaces, and acting quickly on failures before they affect close activities or user processing. The Finance System Administrator will support monthly and quarterly close activities by managing configuration settings for templates, master data, and data interfaces. The role is expected to coordinate with Consolidations, business owners, process teams, and bot handlers to ensure a well controlled platform where system dependencies are met, exceptions are resolved, and automated activities are complete as expected.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information systems, or another relevant business or technical discipline.
• Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise finance systems and close-related processes in a complex business environment.
• Experience with reconciliation, consolidation, OneStream, or adjacent finance systems is preferred, especially where system support and business process support are closely linked.
• Experience supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual control activities, job monitoring, exception handling, and user support for finance operations.
• Experience working with system changes, upgrades, or production support in partnership with technology teams and external vendors.

Skills

• Basic understanding of Record to Report processes, account reconciliation controls, and finance close dependencies.
• Troubleshooting skills across jobs, interfaces, master data, user access, and automation dependencies.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective system setup, schedule maintenance, configuration updates, and practical support actions.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to work effectively across finance, process, and technical teams.
• Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, and follow-through in a control-sensitive environment with recurring deadlines.
• Exposure to SAP-dependent finance processes is helpful because several Cadency activities depend on SAP close status, blocked account validation, and interface-driven data loads.
