Job summary

ATMOS Works is seeking a hands-on Field Test Engineer to bridge the gap between lab designs and real-world performance. You will lead field testing, validation, and maintenance operations for unmanned systems, ensuring readiness before deployments.

You will collaborate with design and engineering teams, provide field feedback, and generate structured test reports. Travel up to 60% may be required, including international assignments, with emphasis on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Completed technical degree in aerospace engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Hands-on experience with unmanned aerial systems or autonomous platforms.
  • Working knowledge of avionics, drive systems, and flight control software (e.g. ArduPilot, Betaflight or equivalent).
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python, Excel.
  • EU nationality required and valid EU driving license (Class B).
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40–60% of working time, domestically and internationally.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

  • Plan, conduct, and evaluate system tests under real-world operating conditions (terrain, weather, payload).
  • Perform fault diagnosis and document hardware and software defects.
  • Validate prototypes and perform regression tests after changes.
  • Operate and maintain test equipment and telemetry systems.
