Job summary

AeroVect Technologies Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own significant parts of the localization stack and calibration workflow for autonomous ground operations at major airports.

You will drive multi-sensor fusion, state estimation, and online validation, collaborating with perception, planning, and platform teams to move the system from supervised to driverless operation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in robotics or autonomous vehicles with production localization ownership.
• Deep grounding in multi-sensor fusion across LiDAR, IMU, GNSS and cameras.
• Technical leadership across teams on hard estimation problems.
• Strong command of non-linear optimization and/or filtering techniques.
• Proficient in modern C++, Linux, and ROS/ROS2.
• Understanding calibration impact on localization and safety cases.
• BS or MS in CS, Robotics, or related engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of core localization stack areas and drive production reliability on real hardware at active airports.
• Contribute across sensor integration, performance tuning, regression testing, and deployment to new environments.
• Design online validation monitoring localization integrity and cross-sensor consistency during live missions.
• Develop tooling for diagnostics, health logging, and post-mission analysis.
• Contribute to regression, validation, and release-gating for localization changes at airports.
• Deploy, test, and iterate using data from real autonomous operations.
