Job summary

EEDAS PLLC is seeking a Field Technician/Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. You will stay on site for extended periods and operate pile drivers, track hoes, backhoes, and forklifts in solar projects across the United States. Travel between project locations and Raleigh, NC soils lab is expected as needed.

Responsibilities include soils and concrete sampling, nuclear density gauge testing, field inspections, and overseeing fieldwork. Some lab work at the Raleigh lab may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with pile driving and heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Stay on site for extended periods (over a month).
• Operate pile drivers and heavy equipment including track hoes, backhoes, and lull forklifts.
• Travel to project locations across the U.S. when not at Raleigh, NC office/labs.
• Conduct soils and concrete sampling, nuclear density gauge testing, inspections.
• Oversee fieldwork including soil sampling, pile testing and site inspections.
• Assist lab testing and equipment setup as needed in EEDAS lab.
• Work in a soils/concrete testing lab in Raleigh, NC when required.

Position Overview: We are seeking Field Technician/Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong motivation, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively on multidisciplinary projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Need to stay on jobsite (any US state) for over a month as required.
• Operate pile drivers (Vermer PD-10, GAYK, or similar pile driving machines for solar projects), track hoes, rubber tire backhoes, and lull forklifts.
• Travel and work at various project locations across the U.S. when not working at the Raleigh NC office / soils laboratory.
• Field work includes but is not limited to soils and concrete sampling, nuclear density gauge testing, field inspection, and miscellaneous construction activities.
• Oversee fieldwork, including soil sampling, pile testing, and site inspections.
• Assist laboratory testing and equipment setup in EEDAS lab if needed.
• Working in a soil and concrete testing laboratory in Raleigh, NC as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Pile driving and heavy equipment operating experience
• NCDOT/ACI laboratory testing certifications a plus
• The ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
• The ability to work weekends and extended hours as needed
• The ability to travel and work at remote sites as needed
